Doctors Allege In Recruitment Of 1,623 Specialist Posts Under TVVP

HYDERABAD: A section of doctors, selected for recruitment under the Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad (TVVP), has alleged discrimination in the implementation of appointments for 1,623 civil assistant surgeon (specialist) posts, urging the state government to ensure uniform recruitment and protect the seniority of all selected candidates.
According to the aggrieved doctors, the government has initiated appointments only for 623 candidates from the obstetrics and gynaecology, anaesthesia and paediatrics departments, while candidates from the remaining specialties are yet to receive appointment orders despite applying through the same notification.
The doctors argued that the staggered recruitment process would provide an unfair advantage to the first batch in terms of service seniority, promotions and future career progression.
They demanded that the government either issue appointment orders simultaneously for all selected candidates or ensure that the seniority of candidates from the remaining departments is protected so that no group gains an undue service advantage because of administrative delays.
