Hyderabad: Ahead of the Lionel Messi–GOAT football match scheduled to be held at Uppal Stadium on December 13, Rachakonda police commissioner G. Sudheer Babu appealed to fans to strictly follow entry regulations to prevent overcrowding.
The commissioner clarified that only spectators with valid tickets or official passes would be permitted inside the stadium premises. Those arriving without passes will not be allowed entry under any circumstances. The advisory was issued in view of the large turnout expected for the high-profile match involving international football icon Lionel Messi and the Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
According to the officials, elaborate and tight security arrangements have been made for the event, with heavy deployment of personnel around the stadium and surrounding areas. Traffic and crowd management measures will also be enforced to ensure smooth conduct of the match.
Fans are urged to cooperate with police and adhere to all instructions issued in the interest of public safety and order.
