DGP C.V. Anand Calls for Immediate Measures Amid Heavy Rains; Visits Waterlogged Areas

The DGP advised citizens to be cautious while traveling, to avoid waterlogged areas and to follow official advisories issued by the police and other authorities. The police were closely monitoring the situation and remained prepared to assist during emergencies.

Hyderabad: DGP C.V. Anand districts to remain on high alert and take immediate measures to prevent waterlogging, traffic congestion, and rain related mishaps. He was speaking after inspecting waterlogged areas like Tolichowki, and the Malkampeta Cheruvu, along with Cyberabad CP, Ramesh.

Anand directed police officials to ensure that immediate measures are taken to prevent water stagnation on roads, clear traffic bottlenecks, and coordinate with civic authorities for smooth restoration. He emphasised the importance of monitoring vulnerable locations and stationing officers at critical junctions. Field officers were directed to coordinate with district administrations, disaster response agencies and municipal authorities to ensure prompt response in assisting the public.
