Inspecting the ongoing works, Anand reviewed construction progress and infrastructure requirements with senior officials.

Hyderabad: Director General of Police C.V. Anand on Thursday directed officials to expedite construction of Academic Block-I of the Young India Police School (YIPS) at Manchirevula and make it fully operational by April 2027, ahead of the next academic year.
Inspecting the ongoing works, Anand reviewed construction progress and infrastructure requirements with senior officials. He approved several works and directed officials to ensure well-designed classrooms, laboratories and a suitable learning environment.
Reviewing the functioning of committees overseeing academics, infrastructure, corporate social responsibility (CSR), recruitment and finances, the DGP directed officials to complete the project in accordance with the government's vision of providing international-standard education from Nursery to Class XII.
Anand stressed the need for discipline, quality education and career guidance, particularly in view of concerns over drug influence among youngsters. He said the school should provide students with proper guidance and a supportive environment.
He expressed confidence that YIPS would benefit children of police personnel as well as the general public. Officials informed the DGP that the school currently had 345 students enrolled up to Class VI and aimed to accommodate around 720 students in the next academic year. Infrastructure is being planned to accommodate 1,000 students eventually.
