Devotees Flock to Saleswaram Temple Amid Scenic Trekking Trails

Pilgrims from Telangana, Karnataka, and Maharashtra undertake hours-long treks through hills, valleys, and waterfalls to witness the divine Linga at Saleswaram during the three-day annual festival starting from Chaitra Purnima.

Nagarkurnool: Devotees are making their way to the Saleswaram temple, located in the dense Nallamala forest, trekking through hills, caves, valleys, and streams to have a glimpse of the sacred Linga. The site, often likened to another Amarnath, sees devotees of all ages—children, youth, and elders—walking for hours, aided by sticks, to reach the shrine.

The journey offers breathtaking views of a waterfall cascading from a height of approximately 500 feet, surrounded by hills and lush greenery, creating a refreshing and serene atmosphere. The three-day Saleswaram festival, beginning from Chaitra Purnima, attracts devotees not only from Telangana but also from Karnataka and Maharashtra.
