Hyderabad: The Banjara Hills police have registered a case against a man who allegedly cheated a devotee of ₹20 lakh by posing as a fellow follower and gaining his trust.
The complaint was filed by Balayanesh, who has been associated with the Iskcon movement for 13 years and participates in charitable activities.
In 2019, he came into contact with Satyavem Katareddy Naidu of Vardhini, who frequently visited the temple projecting himself as a devotee. Over time, Naidu reportedly allegedly induced him to invest in a purported land deal.
