Dentist Dies By Suicide Over Husband’s Affair
Dr Pratyusha’s family filed a complaint against Dr Srujan and the influencer.
WARANGAL: A 28-year-old dentist died by suicide on Monday in Hasanparthy mandal, Hanamkonda district, allegedly over her husband’s extramarital affair with a woman he met through Instagram reels.
According to police, Dr Pratyusha worked as a dentist at a local private hospital. She married Dr Alladi Srujan (32), a cardiologist at another private hospital in Hanamkonda, in 2017. The couple had two children and lived in Hasanparthy.
Dr Srujan met social media influencer Shruthi (alias Butta Bomma) when she interviewed him for her Instagram reels. Their interaction reportedly developed into a romantic relationship. When Dr Pratyusha discovered the affair, she confronted her husband in the presence of their elders.
Family members on both sides attempted to resolve the dispute, but his behaviour did not change. Early Monday, Dr Pratyusha took the extreme step when her husband and their two children were in an adjoining room.
Dr Pratyusha’s family filed a complaint against Dr Srujan and the influencer. The police have registered cases against both and taken Dr Srujan into custody pending further investigation.
