Mancherial: Denied Treatment, Son Takes Ailing Mother to MLA's House In Wheelchair
Alleging no treatment for 5 hours at Mancherial government hospital, a son pushed his sick mother for 2 km in a wheelchair to the MLA's house.
Mancherial: A son who was left helpless after his ailing mother received no treatment in a government hospital in Mancherial district pushed her in a wheelchair along the road for more than 2 km to the local MLA's residence.
As per reports, Bhukya Bujji (55) of Pulimadugu village in Mandamarri mandal has been suffering from kidney disease for a long time. As her condition worsened, her son Raj Kumar brought her to the Mancherial District Government Hospital on Tuesday night. Raj Kumar alleged that the hospital staff ignored his mother and kept her seated in a wheelchair for nearly 5 hours without giving her any treatment or even offering a bed.
Distressed over the apathy of the Government Hospital staff, Raj Kumar took his mother in the wheelchair and pushed her along the road for about 2 kilometres to the residence of local MLA Premsagar Rao.
On learning of the matter, the Resident Medical Officer (RMO) of the district hospital spoke to the family and assured them that treatment would be provided. Raj Kumar and his mother Bujji then returned to the hospital.
Visuals of the son taking his mother were shared on social media, sparking outrage that when patients with serious illnesses don't receive timely treatment, their anguish ends up spilling onto the streets.
