DC Impact: Hydraa Issues Notices to Structures Encroaching Chandana Cheruvu

Hyderabad: The HYDRAA has issued notices to structures which are built in the full tank level and buffer zone of the Chandana Cheruvu in Karmanghat.

Irrigation authorities stated that they had conducted a survey, and determined that a function hall, swimming pool and several businesses were built on the lake land.

Deccan Chronicle had reported about the encroachments on January 18. Several locals had raised concerns about encroachments.

Irrigation authorities said that they have informed HYDRAA that the structures were in FTL, and the agency issued notices to the structures. However, HYDRAA did not respond to questions from Deccan Chronicle with regard to the notices.
