Days Are Ahead to Dismiss Congress Government: KTR
Addressing the Yuva Samara Bheri organised by the BRS in Karimnagar, Rama Rao said the dismissal of a minister from the Cabinet was not enough and that the days were ahead to ban the Congress.
Karimnagar:BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao said on Saturday that the Congress government’s dismissal was imminent and alleged that the ruling party was including crores of rupees worth of poor people’s land in the prohibited list under 22A.
Addressing the Yuva Samara Bheri organised by the BRS in Karimnagar, Rama Rao said the dismissal of a minister from the Cabinet was not enough and that the days were ahead to ban the Congress.
On GO 97, he alleged that the state government headed by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had brought polytechnic colleges under the labour department to take over their costly lands.
Rama Rao said polytechnic students had been protesting against the GO for the past month but no minister or Congress MLA had extended support to them. He said he and other BRS MLAs would raise the issue in the Assembly and expose the reasons behind issuing GO 97.
He assured the students that the BRS would support them until GO 97 was cancelled and their problem resolved.
Rama Rao said the Congress had made 24 promises in its youth declaration and assured that they would be implemented within 100 days of coming to power. However, not a single promise had been implemented even after 1,000 days, he alleged.
Instead of implementing its poll promises, Congress leaders were demanding the resignation of BRS president K. Chandrashekhar Rao, he said. “Who and why should resign?” he questioned.
Rama Rao said he asked students whether Chandrashekhar Rao, who had achieved a separate Telangana state, should resign. The students replied in the negative and said Revanth Reddy should resign, he said.
Later, Rama Rao extended his support to Sircilla polytechnic students who had been protesting against GO 97 for the past 20 days.
