DAC Issues Show Cause Notice to Kathi Venkataswamy

Hyderabad: The state Congress disciplinary action committee (DAC) has issued a showcause notice to senior party leader Kathi Venkataswamy over certain remarks he made during a TV debate against Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.

Venkatswamy claimed that Revanth Reddy’s political time was running out, that public opposition to the Chief Minister was growing and cast doubt on the Congress returning to power. DAC chairman Mallu Ravi deemed these remarks contrary to party discipline and issued the show-cause notice to Venkataswamy.
