HYDERABAD: Cyberabad traffic police and IT sector stakeholders formulated a comprehensive action plan to decongest the city’s busy IT corridors and ensure safer, smoother commuting as the region continues to witness rapid economic and employment growth.
The collaborative meeting, organised by SCSC with stakeholder departments, was led by joint commissioner of police (Traffic), Cyberabad, Sunpreet Singh along with senior officers and civic, law enforcement and IT representatives.
Officials identified roadside which are left idle with empty commercial cabs and autos outside office gates as a major cause of bottlenecks. IT parks and corporate management were advised to provide temporary, time-bound internal holding bays for employee pick-ups and drop-offs, keeping public carriageways clear.
Companies were also urged to institutionalise carpooling and incentivise shared travel through priority parking and route-matching data analytics. Police recommended centralised, origin-based corporate transport, with neighbouring offices and developers pooling resources to operate larger buses from major residential clusters to IT parks instead of separate low-occupancy shuttles.
Organisations were further advised to adopt zone-wise or staggered login and logout timings to spread peak-hour traffic. Police also encouraged campuses to train and deploy existing security personnel as Green Marshals to manage gate discipline and support traffic flow.
Cyberabad traffic police said regular follow-up reviews would be held over the coming weeks to monitor implementation.
Authorities stressed proactive, community-driven mobility solutions and closer coordination among industry, developers and civic agencies to keep Hyderabad a globally connected and frictionless business destination jointly.
