Cyberabad SHE Teams Nab 18 Persons in 109 Decoy Operations
The SHE Teams also received 25 complaints from women through various modes
Hyderabad: The Cyberabad SHE Teams conducted 109 decoy operations and caught 18 persons red-handed while indulging in indecent acts at public places. These operations were conducted from August 15 to 21.
Seventeen petty cases were booked and counselling was conducted to those who were facing the case. The SHE Teams also received 25 complaints from women victims through various modes.
Of which, three petty cases were booked and counselled the remaining persons. Cyberabad Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) rescued two victims and apprehended four accused persons in two PITA cases.
The unit has also rescued two victim boys and apprehended two accused in a JJ Act case. Efforts were made to reunite 32 families in marital disputes in Family Counselling centres.
As part of preventive and awareness measures, AHTU and SHE Teams have conducted awareness programs across various locations in Cyberabad and around 4974 members participated, who were given awareness on human and trafficking, eve teasing, social media harassment, child marriages, child rights, child labour, stalking, cyber bullying, cyber frauds etc.
