Cyberabad Police Sensitise Private Security Agencies

Officials explained the procedure for obtaining a valid PASARA licence and highlighted the mandatory training requirements for security guards: Reports

HYDERABAD: Cyberabad police held an awareness and sensitisation meeting for representatives of private security agencies on Wednesday, focusing on compliance with licensing, training and verification requirements under the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005 (PASARA).

The meeting, held at T-Hub in Knowledge City under the Raidurgam police station limits, was attended by around 50 representatives from various private security agencies.

Officials explained the procedure for obtaining a valid PASARA licence and highlighted the mandatory training requirements for security guards. They also stressed the need for agencies to maintain proper training records and complete police or background verification of security personnel before deploying them for duty.

Representatives were provided with guidelines and documents required for applying for PASARA licences. Police officials emphasised that agencies must strictly comply with PASARA and other applicable laws and should not operate without a valid licence.
