Cyberabad police nabs 3 persons in firewood businessman’s murder
The prime accused Moiz developed a grudge against Srinu and with an intention of taking over his business and earning huge profits, he killed him.
Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police on Monday arrested three persons in connection with the murder of a firewood shop owner Srinivasulu alias Srinu at Hafeezpet under Miyapur police station limits.
Madhapur Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dr. Vineeth G, said Srinu was operating a firewood shop owner near Hafeezpet railway station for the past five years and earning substantial profits. The adjacent shop owner, S.K Moiz, developed a grudge against Srinu and with an intention of taking over his business and earning huge profits he hatched a plan to eliminate him with the help of his nephew Sahil, his worker Maqbul, and an auto driver Anwar.
As per their plan, on August 10, between 1.30 pm and 2 pm, the accused picked up a quarrel with Srinu. During the altercation, Sahil stabbed him in the stomach with a knife, and the prime accused Moiz throttled his neck with the assistance of Maqbul and Anwar.
As a result, Srinu sustained grievous injuries on his stomach. He died while being shifted to Srikara hospital. The police booked a case under provisions of BNS and took up a detailed probe. During investigation, the police arrested the accused and seized the weapon used in the offence.
