Cyberabad Police Commemorate Foundation Day

"We focus on modern policing with technology, staying close to the people, keeping things transparent, and delivering quick services”: An Officer

HYDERABAD: Veterans’ officers who led the Cyberabad Commissionerate since its inception in 2003 on Friday recalled how the force adapted to Hyderabad’s rapid growth as an IT hub. “We focus on modern policing with technology, staying close to the people, keeping things transparent, and delivering quick services,” an officer said.

They were speaking at an event organised by the Cyberabad Commissionerate to mark its 23 years, where former commissioners who led the force were felicitated. Present were Director-General of Police B. Shivadhar Reddy, Cyberabad police commissioner Dr M. Ramesh as well as former DGP Dr M. Mahender Reddy, senior officers S. Prabhakar Reddy, Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, special home secretary C.V. Anand, V. Naveen Chandra and Sandeep Sandilya.

Shivadhar Reddy commended the officers, noting: “Your strong work and efficiency have put Cyberabad police on the world map.” Mahender Reddy reflected on laying the groundwork for today’s advanced systems, while commissioner Dr Ramesh outlined future priorities: “We are teaming up with industries, boosting cyber security, and using new technology to serve the public better in this IT hotspot.”

The event featured a slideshow on the commissionerate’s history, achievements and ongoing programmes, and concluded with honours for the guests. Attendees observed that Cyberabad police have become a benchmark for modern policing built on technology, coordination and public service. As the Cyberabad area continues to expand with tech companies and residents, the Commissionerate’s evolution from basic steps to cutting-edge operations reflects a story of progress and resilience.
