Cracks in Madhapur Building Spark Panic; Residents Blame Adjacent Work

Hyderabad: Cracks have developed in a building at Plot No. 1166 in Siddiquinagar under Madhapur circle, leaving residents and tenants worried about their safety. Residents alleged that the cracks, which have appeared on beams and pillars, have been visible for six months.
They claimed that the damage was caused by the construction of a six-storey building adjacent to their building, alleging that the new structure was built without leaving the required setback.
Residents and locals in the vicinity said they were living in fear as they were concerned that the cracks could worsen and pose a risk to the building's occupants. The residents said they had brought the issue to the notice of the civic authorities. Officials visited the site and inspected the building, assuring the residents that necessary action would be taken.
Residents have urged the authorities to conduct a detailed structural inspection and take immediate action to ensure their safety.
