Addressing the party cadre in the Chevella Assembly constituency, Sambasiva Rao said: “It is the Communist party which spearheads struggles against increase in power charges, hike in rates of gas, diesel, petrol and essential commodities. If the party wanted to pursue power at any cost, it could have. The aim of the party is to spearhead the people and establish a socialist society.”
He said that the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre was selling public sector companies and misleading the youths on employment opportunities, he said.
Those who participated in the meeting include Rangareddy district secretary Jangaiah and state executive committee member Ravindra Chary.
