Countdown Begins For Miss World

Miss World prep meet held

Hyderabad:A high-level coordination meeting to review preparations and security arrangements for Miss World 2025 was held on Tuesday at Hotel Trident in Madhapur. The meeting focused on finalising security, logistics and planning for the 72nd edition of the international beauty pageant, scheduled from May 7 to 31, with the grand finale to be held at the HITEX Exhibition Centre on May 31.

Cyberabad police commissioner Avinash Mohanty chaired the meeting, which brought together senior officials from law and order, traffic, tourism, special branch, transport and other departments, along with event organisers. Detailed discussions were held on law enforcement, traffic management, public safety and inter-departmental coordination.

“Security protocols, transport and traffic arrangements, venue readiness, hospitality services, cultural scheduling, medical preparedness and safety of women and children will all be prioritised,” commissioner Mohanty said. He added that seamless coordination among departments is essential for the successful execution of the 28-day event, which will include cultural heritage tours, talent showcases and social impact activities.

The Miss World 2025 pageant aims to highlight Telangana’s modern infrastructure and global hospitality standards while promoting the values of ‘Beauty with a Purpose,’ international harmony and women’s empowerment. Contestants will visit prominent sites such as Charminar, Ramappa Temple, Buddhavanam and Pochampally. They will also participate in sports events, medical awareness drives and competitive segments designed to leave a lasting impact.

Tourism Development Corporation MD Nyalakonda Prakash Reddy noted that Miss World 2025 offers a unique platform to showcase Telangana’s cultural richness, hospitality and infrastructure on the world stage. He said the event would help position the state as a leading global destination for tourism and culture.

The meeting saw participation from joint commissioner (traffic) Dr Gajarao Bhupal, DCP Madhapur Dr G. Vineeth, DCP (special branch) Sai Sri, DCP (women & child safety wing) Srujana Karnam, DCP (Cyberabad CAR headquarters) Sanjeev and DCP (Madhapur traffic) Sai Manohar, along with representatives from the transport department, tourism officials and the event organising team.
