Congress Stages Rally Against BRS, BJP Over Dalit Issues
Speaking on the occasion, District Congress Committee (DCC) president Nuthi Satyanarayana Goud alleged that both the BJP and BRS had been resorting to acts that insulted the Dalit community in the country.
Nalgonda:Congress workers took out a rally in Khammam on Friday from Sanjeeva Reddy Bhavan, the District Congress Office at the old bus stand centre, to the Ambedkar statue at the Zilla Parishad office centre, urging the BRS and BJP to desist from allegedly indulging in anti-Dalit actions.
More than 1,000 Congress workers participated in the rally, holding party flags and raising slogans against the BRS and BJP. They also demanded the cancellation of the Legislative Council membership of BRS MLC Tata Madhu. Congress leaders performed ‘ksheeraabhishekam’ to the statue of Dr B.R. Ambedkar.

He recalled the incident in which BJP workers allegedly washed the place visited by All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Mallikarjun Kharge, who belongs to the Dalit community, in Uttarakhand.
He also strongly objected to the language allegedly used by BRS MLC Tata Madhu against Legislative Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, who also belongs to the Dalit community.
Goud alleged that BRS leaders had cleaned the road at Erravelli leading to the farmhouse of BRS president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao after Congress Dalit leaders staged a protest on the route. He described the act as an insult to the self-respect of Dalits and said it had once again proved that the BRS was an anti-Dalit political party. He further alleged that the BRS was intentionally creating tension in the State to derive political benefit from it.
