Congress Stages Dharna, Seeks KTR’s Resignation
He alleged that the MLA had not stayed in Sircilla for several months and had not visited any ward after the municipal elections.

Karimnagar:Congress leaders and activists in Sircilla staged a dharna at Gandhi Chowk on Sunday, demanding the resignation of BRS working president and local MLA K.T. Rama Rao, alleging that he had failed to address problems in the constituency.
The protest was led by Congress town president Sura Devaraju. Addressing the gathering, Devaraju said Rama Rao had promised before the Assembly elections that he would stay in the constituency twice a week and address local issues.
He alleged that the MLA had not stayed in Sircilla for several months and had not visited any ward after the municipal elections.
Devaraju also questioned whether Rama Rao, as a leader of the Opposition, had raised local issues with the state government and sought to know what purpose his continued representation served if he could not address constituency problems.
He alleged that the previous BRS government had failed to clear ₹350 crore in pending dues to weavers and claimed that the Congress government had cleared the bills after coming to power.
Devaraju further alleged that Rama Rao had failed to check corruption among BRS councillors and was concentrating on political activities in Hyderabad instead of addressing problems in Sircilla.
