Congress Seeks Cadre Feedback to Form DCC, Mandal Committees
Second-rung leaders have also been given the opportunity to recommend deserving candidates for positions in the DCC and mandal committees.

Adilabad: The Congress will, for the first time, seek feedback from party cadres and second-rung leaders to constitute District Congress Committee (DCC) and mandal committees across Telangana. Applicants will be required to furnish personal and political details, including positions held earlier and their service to the party in various capacities.
Party leaders said the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee aims to form the committees in a transparent manner, unlike in the past. Application forms are being distributed in villages, allowing cadres and leaders who missed out on State committees or nominated posts to apply.
Second-rung leaders have also been given the opportunity to recommend deserving candidates for positions in the DCC and mandal committees. Senior Congress leaders have asked newly elected sarpanches to ensure that eligible and committed candidates submit their applications.
Former Union minister and senior Congress leader S. Venugopala Chary said the TPCC plans to prioritise leaders who earlier did not get an opportunity to serve as DCC presidents, following the principle of social justice. He added that priority would be given to BCs and other marginalised communities in the DCC and mandal-level committees.
Forms submitted at the village level will be forwarded by DCC presidents to the TPCC. Newly appointed DCC presidents are currently scrutinising applications, with December 31 set as the deadline.
