Congress Leaders Visit Fire-Hit Fields in Adilabad, Assure Aid

Adilabad:A team of Congress leaders led by S. Anvesh Reddy and Adilabad DCC president Naresh Jadhav on Monday visited fields affected by a fire accident in Kangutta village of Boath constituency in Adilabad district. The leaders assured farmers of efforts to secure financial assistance for losses to standing maize and jowar crops. Anvesh Reddy said a report would be submitted to the state government seeking compensation for damage caused by the fire, which was attributed to a short circuit.

He also asked electricity officials to tighten hanging wires and rectify bent poles to prevent such incidents. Boath constituency in-charge Ade Gajender said steps should be taken to avoid recurrence of fires in agricultural fields. Other Congress leaders present included Mallepula Narsaiah, Mallepula Satyanarayana, B. Mallesh, Kumram Kotesh and Chatla Upender.

Telangana Rakshana Sena leader Mounika Rathod also met farmers in the village and reviewed the losses caused by the incident.
