Hyderabad: Congress leaders, led by AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, are set to embark on a padayatra and shramdan programme across 10 erstwhile districts in Telangana starting July 31. This initiative will see participation from ministers, party MPs, MLAs, MLCs, TPCC chief and local leaders from respective districts. The first phase of the programme, which will run from July 31 to August 6, will cover six districts.

After the padayatra, Congress leaders will stay overnight in villages within the respective constituencies. The following morning, they will participate in the Shramdan programme, followed by meetings with local leaders to discuss electoral strategies and preparation for local body polls.
Vikarabad DCC president and Parigi MLA T. Rammohan Reddy shared the details of the upcoming events. Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Monday, he said the padayatra will begin in the Parigi constituency in Rangareddy district at 5 pm on July 31 from Rangapur village. After the overnight stay, the team will participate in the shramadan programme on August 1 before engaging in a party meeting to strategise for the local body elections.
