Congress Leader Held in Case of Explosives

Recently, police had arrested some workers when they carried out blasts using gelatine sticks for constructing new house near the railway gate area in Kamareddy.

Kamareddy: Kamareddy police on Sunday arrested TPCC general secretary Gaddam Chandrasekhar Reddy for illegal supply of gelatine sticks and sent him to judicial remand.

Recently, police had arrested some workers when they carried out blasts using gelatine sticks for constructing new house near the railway gate area in Kamareddy.

Police investigations led to the involvement of Chandrasekhar Reddy, who is a real estate businessman.

On Saturday night, police called him for inquiry and took him into custody thereafter. They produced him before the court in Bichkunda town. Following the court’s orders, police shifted him to Nizamabad Jail on Sunday.

Chandrasekhar Reddy’s wife Indu Priya, , former Kamareddy municipal chairperson, has charged that a false case has been booked against her husband. Speaking to reporters, she said that in the 2023 assembly elections, they had worked hard for Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy who had contested from the Kamareddy constituency.

She said with blessings of the CM, Chandrasekhar Reddy had been elevated as TPCC general secretary recently. “A few people are unable to digest this. We will fight this case legally, as it is patently false,” Indu Priya declared.
