Congress Groups Clash During Saddula Bathukamma Celebrations At Thallapet
Two Congress groups clashed during Saddula Bathukamma celebrations in Thallapet, Mancherial district, prompting police to use a lathi-charge to disperse them.

Two Congress groups clashed during the Saddula Bathukamma celebrations in Thallapet village in Dandepalli mandal of Mancherial district on Sunday night.
Of these, one group has its allegiance to MLA K Premsagar Rao and the other to Congress leader M Jaganmohan Rao, allegedly backed by minister Gaddam Vivek. A cold war has been going on between Premsagar and Gaddam Vivek for a long time.
Some leaders and a few municipal corporators, under the leadership of Jaganmohan Rao, separated recently from Premsagar Rao and are organising the party programmes separately with the support of Gaddam Vivek and Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi.
Police teams rushed to the spot and held a lathi- charge to disperse the two groups.
A section of Congress leaders and cadre, who are supporters of senior Congress leaders Jagan Mohanrao and Kotnaka Tirupathi, alleged that the police beat up an Adivasi woman representative of a local body and staged a protest against the alleged high-handedness of the police officers.
