Congress Govt Corruption Exposed by Raja Gopal: KTR

People in villages and cities are all recalling KCR’s governance today.

HYDERABAD: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Saturday waded into the goings-on in the Congress, declaring that he was in full agreement with Congress MLA Komatireddy Raja Gopal Reddy’s views that there was widespread corruption in Telangana. Rama Rao noted Raja Gopal Reddy’s comments that there are 500 or so conditions imposed on a poor person seeking Rs 5 lakh to build a house, but those in high offices were allegedly siphoning off lakhs of crores of rupees through corrupt means.

Speaking with reporters at the Independence Day celebrations at Telangana Bhavan, the BRS party headquarters, Rama Rao said: “The revenue minister, the Chief Minister and senior Congress leaders are facing serious corruption allegations from their own party MLA. I hope Rahul Gandhi is listening to his own party MLAs who are openly speaking about corruption.”

Rama Rao, earlier addressing a gathering of party leaders and workers after hoisting the National Flag, said: “If our country is to prosper, work must begin from our own home. A person who was against the Telangana movement became the Chief Minister. What concern will he have for Telangana’s development?”

Drawing parallels between Congress and the BRS, he said there was no electricity during 60 years of Congress’ rule in the state. “After KCR became the CM, he provided 24-hour electricity. People in villages and cities are all recalling KCR’s governance today. The BRS will return to power. Telangana state will get back on track,” he said.
