CM highlights jobs, housing and education initiatives at Telangana Formation Day event

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy onTuesday said that the Congress government is giving equal priority to welfare and development, asserting that the state is implementing schemes unmatched elsewhere in the country.
Addressing the Telangana Formation Day celebrations at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad, the Chief Minister extended greetings to the people and said Telangana society would not tolerate autocracy or domination.
He thanked former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress leader Sonia Gandhi for fulfilling the dream of Telangana statehood. Citing poet Kaloji’s ideals, he said the government has been working for the welfare of the state since assuming office and has successfully met people’s aspirations over the past 30 months.
Highlighting employment generation, Revanth Reddy said over 67,000 government jobs have been filled transparently without legal disputes. He added that more job notifications in departments such as engineering, PCB, forest, town planning and education will be released soon through TSPSC.
The Chief Minister also outlined key initiatives in education, including the introduction of pre-primary classes in 1,362 government schools, provision of breakfast in all government institutions this year, and plans to extend mid-day meals to junior college students.
On housing, he said the government aims to free the poor from the burden of rented accommodation. Over 1.25 lakh Indiramma houses have been constructed in 13 months, with ₹22,000 crore allocated for the scheme. An additional 3.5 lakh houses have been sanctioned this financial year.
Revanth Reddy further announced that new ration cards have been issued to eligible beneficiaries. Following the event, the Chief Minister presented distinguished service awards to police personnel for their outstanding contributions.
