Congress government will scale new heights in job creation: Uttam

Party candidate for Graduate MLC seat V. Narendar Reddy files nomination papers

Karimnagar: The state government is making significant progress in tackling the unemployment problem, while simultaneously fostering regional development, said irrigation minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Karimnagar district in-charge, here on Monday.

He was addressing a rally that was taken out by the Congress for the Graduate MLC seat candidate V. Narendar Reddy from SRR College grounds to the collectorate, where he filed his nomination papers.

Present on the occasion were TPCC chief B. Mahesh Kumar, ministers Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, Konda Surekha, Seethakka and Jupally Krishna Rao.

Uttam Kumar Reddy recounted the party’s endeavours to bolster the welfare of graduates, in whose support the party has always been in the forefront.

Addressing the issue of unemployment that was neglected for over a decade by the BRS government, he pointed out that the Congress government has been actively creating job opportunities for the people, across the spectrum.

In its first year in office, the Congress government has filled 55,000 government posts, including 11,000 teaching positions. Additionally, the government has effected long-awaited promotions for teachers, demonstrating its commitment to appropriately address both employment and career advancement issues, he said.

This proactive approach is in sharp contrast to the previous administration’s lack of action on such crucial matters, he added, and assured that they would complete all the pending projects across the four districts.

Mahesh Goud alleged that the BJP and BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao had come to a secret agreement for the upcoming MLC elections, which was the reason why the latter is not fielding its candidates.

The Congress party has chosen Narendar Reddy as its candidate after evaluating all aspects. He asserted that the Congress will stand with the unemployed lot and resolve all their issues.

While Rao promised 5,000 jobs per year, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has pledged 5,000 jobs every month, Goud said.

He criticised Union minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar for failing to bring any funds for Telangana. He demanded the BJP MPs from the state to explain about the injustice meted out to Telangana in the Union Budget 2025.
