Congress Government Focus on Direct Outreach to People: Ponguleti
The minister said that the people had to earlier make the rounds to offices to get their work done during the tenure of the previous BRS administration.

Nalgonda:The second phase of Indiramma houses would be taken up in May, revenue and housing minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said on Saturday. He directed officials to ensure that work was completed on the approximately 4.5 lakh houses that had been sanctioned to families in the first phase.
Srinivas Reddy was speaking at a praja darbar at Rayagudem of Nelakondapalli mandal in Khammam district, where he highlighted the approach of the Congress government to reach out directly to the people and resolve their issues. This is what people-centric governance is all about, the minister said. He said the 99-day 'Praja Palana — Pragathi Pranalika', initiated on directives of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, was aimed to take the administration to the people in every village.
The minister said that the people had to earlier make the rounds to offices to get their work done during the tenure of the previous BRS administration. Under the Congress government, officials were going directly to the people to receive their grievances and to resolve them on the spot.
He said the grievances received from the people at praja darbars would be resolved within a timeframe. ranging from one week to three months. He stated that measures have been taken up to avoid drinking water and electricity shortages during the summer season.
Reiterating the commitment of the Congress government on keeping its promises, he said it has fulfilling its pre-poll promises without neglecting development in any area.
Stating that 55 application received from the people at the Rayagudem praja darbar were requests for Indiramma houses, he made it clear that the units would be sanctioned to all eligible families in phases. and He said the applications received for Aasara pensions, ration cards, roads and drainage system would also be resolved in a systematic way.
He said the land issues created by Dharani, which had taken up by earlier BRS government, were being solved through Bhu Bharathi, which was launched by the Congress government. He remined that Dharani was abolished by the state government.
Srinivas Reddy said every mandal in Palair Assembly constituency had been divided into three clusters for holding praja darbars at the gram panchayat level. He also participated in a praja darbar at Sublaid of Tirumalayapalem mandal in Khammam district. Telangana Warehousing Corporation chairman Rayala Nageswara Rao, Khammam city police commissioner Sunil Dutt and additional district collector P. Sreeja attended the programme.
