Congress Flags Large Number of Unmapped Voters in Adilabad
Congress leaders said Booth Level Agents (BLA-2) had been activated to examine the issue at the polling booth level

ADILABAD: Congress leaders in Adilabad district have expressed concern over a large number of unmapped electors and anomalies detected during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Party leaders said that in the Adilabad Assembly constituency, 95,687 electors remain unmapped out of a total of 2,51,601 voters. In the Boath Assembly constituency, 34,090 electors are unmapped out of 2,16,324.
They said they were unable to ascertain the reasons for the high number of unmapped voters, adding that some of them could be migrant voters. Concerns were also raised about the possibility of duplication, with some voters allegedly having entries both in their native villages and in Adilabad town.
Congress leaders said Booth Level Agents (BLA-2) had been activated to examine the issue at the polling booth level.
According to party sources, 1,56,084 electors have been mapped so far in Adilabad, while 69,502 anomalies were identified among them, accounting for 44.53 per cent. In Boath, 1,82,234 electors have been mapped, with 62,212 anomalies, or 34.14 per cent.
Party leaders said a section of the unmapped voters were migrants settled in and around Adilabad town, including those who had moved from neighbouring Maharashtra over the past three decades for employment and education.
Adilabad District Congress Committee president Naresh Jadhav said the party was concerned over the high number of unmapped and anomalous entries in the ongoing SIR process in Adilabad and Boath constituencies. He said the party would examine the issue booth-wise with the help of its agents.
