Congress First Party To Steal Votes, Seats, Alleges Bandi Sanjay
Sanjay Kumar said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had no need to “steal” votes or seats and claimed that Modi had no family, bank balance, benami properties or dynasty politics.

KARIMNAGAR: Union minister of state for home, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, has alleged that the Congress had a history of “stealing” votes and seats, claiming it was the first political party in the country to do so.
Addressing the media after participating in the Seva Jyothi rally here on Wednesday, Sanjay Kumar alleged that the Congress had set aside the decision of its Pradesh Congress Committees (PCCs) to support Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for Prime Minister and appointed Jawaharlal Nehru instead.
He alleged that when the British rulers sought the formation of an interim government, the Congress proposed the names of Nehru and Patel and asked the PCCs to finalise one name. He claimed all PCCs supported Patel, but the Congress appointed Nehru as Prime Minister.
Sanjay Kumar said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had no need to “steal” votes or seats and claimed that Modi had no family, bank balance, benami properties or dynasty politics. He said when Modi steps down from the PM post, he would like a common man.
He said the Prime Minister was working towards the goal of a “Viksit Bharat” by 2047.
On the INDIA bloc’s protest demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Sanjay said the ECI was not a “pocket organisation” of the BJP. Democracy, he claimed, is flourishing as the people are exercising their right to vote.
He advised the Opposition to challenge the issue concerning Gyanesh Kumar in court. He said Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi could meet the Election Commission at any time, but said he was stopped while trying to go to the EC office with hundreds of protesters as he had not taken a prior appointment.
Sanjay Kumar said the objective of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) was to ensure that every eligible voter was included and ineligible electors were removed from electoral rolls. He claimed that the name of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao was deleted from the voter list recently - after years of his demise.
He also referred to statements by Congress leaders on the deletion of names of deceased persons and alleged that Congress leaders had cited figures of fake or duplicate voters in Telangana and Rajasthan.
On the land dispute involving BRS president K. Chandrashekhar Rao, Sanjay Kumar alleged that the Congress was “enacting a drama” and had no intention of taking action.
He alleged that the Congress was unwilling to act against corruption in the BRS government and that the BRS was not sincere in raising issues concerning the implementation of the ruling party’s six guarantees. He felt there was a secret understanding between the two parties.
