Congress Defends Sonia, Slams Bandi Sanjay Remarks

Hyderabad:The Congress hit back at Union minister Bandi Sanjay’s remarks against AICC leader Sonia Gandhi, with TPCC spokesman Chanagani Dayakar saying on Friday that Mrs Gandhi had given Telangana state because of which Sanjay could become a Union minister.

Dayakar said the BJP-led government at the Centre had registering fake cases against Mrs Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Congress leaders. He called the ED’s seizure of the the assets of National Herald as a government-sponsored crime. The chargesheet filed against the Gandhis smacked of political malice, Dayakar said.

"Bandi Sanjay does not know the history of the Gandhi family. I demand the Union minister to withdraw his remarks," Dayakar said.
