Congress Chalo Ankapur Call Creates Tension
Anticipating trouble, the police deployed a huge force in Armoor, Ankapur and other places in the constituency from Sunday night.

Karimnagar:Tense situation prevailed in Ankapur, Armoor mandal of Nizamabad district on Monday as the Congress gave a call to picket the house of Armoor BJP MLA Paidi Rakesh Reddy.
Armoor constituency Congress incharge Podduturi Vinay Reddy gave a Chalo Ankapurcall in protest against the legislator’s remarks against Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and the state government.
Anticipating trouble, the police deployed a huge force in Armoor, Ankapur and other places in the constituency from Sunday night.
The police, besides closing the roads leading to Ankapur, put both Rakesh Reddy and Vinay Reddy in house arrest in Ankapur and Armoor respectively since Monday morning.
Nizamabad BJP legislator Danpal Suryanarayana Gupta was restrained by cops at his residence in Naziabad when he tried to visit Ankapur to extend his support to Rakesh Reddy.
BJP workers who tried to reach Ankapur were arrested at different places. BJP district president Dinesh Kulachary managed to reach Ankapur and extended his support to Rakesh Reddy.
When the MLA tried to come out of his residence, police forcefully sent him inside. BJP activists and his followers raised slogans against the police.
