Traffic was disrupted for several hours due to a rasta roko during the protest.

Adilabad:Clashes broke out between BRS and Congress councillors in Kagaznagar town of Komaram Bheem Asifabad district on Monday over road widening works near a flyover.

According to local leaders, Congress councillors maintained that the municipal council had already passed a resolution approving the road widening project.

Tensions escalated as members of both parties staged protests at the site, leading to a scuffle between councillors. Police intervened and dispersed the groups.

Traffic was disrupted for several hours due to a rasta roko during the protest.

Congress leaders alleged that associates of former MLA Koneru Konappa attempted to obstruct the road widening work. They said the project was necessary to ease traffic congestion and ensure smoother movement of vehicles.
