Surekha distributed CM Relief Fund cheques worth ₹61 lakh to 111 beneficiaries: Reports
WARANGAL: Former minister and Warangal East MLA Konda Surekha urged Congress workers to work towards winning all 24 divisions in the upcoming Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) elections. Speaking at a CM Relief Fund cheque distribution programme, she called for unity among party workers and grassroots efforts to resolve public grievances.
Surekha distributed CM Relief Fund cheques worth ₹61 lakh to 111 beneficiaries and said Kalyana Lakshmi cheques would be distributed soon.
Responding to criticism over the MGM Hospital, she questioned the development works undertaken by the previous BRS government during its 10-year tenure. She said the eight-storey super-speciality hospital would soon be opened to the public. Surekha announced plans to visit one division every week to address public grievances.
She said issues related to Indiramma houses would be resolved and double-bedroom houses would be provided to journalists. She also said the development of temples in Khila Warangal required Central approvals and claimed that the inauguration of the new Collectorate had been delayed due to pending payments to contractors. She warned opposition leaders to exercise restraint in their remarks.
