Cong. MLA Promises Relief to Rain-Hit Farmers

Revuri Prakash Reddy vows swift compensation, orders crop-loss surveys without exclusions

Warangal: Congress MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy on Thursday assured farmers hit by this week’s unseasonal rain and hail in Warangal district that the state will provide prompt compensation.

Touring damaged paddy and cotton fields in Kantathmakur and Lakshmipuram villages, the Parakal legislator ordered agriculture officials to complete crop-loss surveys “without missing a single farmer.” He said the Congress-led government’s “top priority is farmer welfare” and vowed that “every grain lost will be paid for.”

At Parakala Agricultural Market Yard, Reddy inspected soaked paddy stocks and pledged to brief Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for swift relief funds. The MLA later visited Narasakkapalli, where he promised assistance to a family whose house roof was torn off by high winds.

Officials were directed to maintain daily contact with affected cultivators, set up relief camps and submit rapid-assessment reports to the district administration. “Farmers should not lose hope; the government will stand by them in every possible way,” the MLA said.
