Cong. Intensifies Voter Roll Revision In Telangana

WARANGAL: The Congress has stepped up the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls across Telangana, treating it as a key priority ahead of the municipal corporation elections. With the revision expected to play a crucial role in the civic polls, the party has mobilised its organisational machinery across the state.
According to party sources, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is personally monitoring the progress of the SIR exercise and has instructed ministers, MLAs and Assembly constituency in-charges to remain in their constituencies until the process is complete.

With 12 days remaining before the Election Commission’s deadline and the rate of uploads still below expectations, district collectors and election officials have intensified the exercise by deploying special teams to expedite scrutiny and pending applications.
As the SIR exercise assumes political importance, Congress leaders in the erstwhile Warangal district are working under the slogan “Every Vote, Every Household” to ensure maximum coverage.
Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy and Hanamkonda DCC president Engala Venkat Ram Reddy said the party’s objective was to protect every eligible vote. They urged booth agents to intensify awareness campaigns and called upon workers to prepare for the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation elections with the goal of securing a Congress victory.
