Cong. Delivering More Than Promised: Shabbir Ali

Women benefit most from schemes like free bus travel, subsidised LPG, and free electricity.

Nizamabad: The Congress government is implementing more welfare schemes than it pledged in its election manifesto, said advisor to the state government, Mohammed Ali Shabbir. Women, in particular, are benefiting from free RTC bus travel, 200 units of free electricity, Rs 500 LPG cylinders and other welfare measures, he explained.

He was speaking at the Congress party meeting of the Nizamabad Urban Assembly constituency on Wednesday, where MLC Balmuri Venkat, former MLC D. Rajeshwer, city Congress president Kesha Venu, senior leader Narala Ratnakar and others were present. Shabbir Ali also handed over cheques under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Meanwhile, Congress leaders took out a rally from Vinayaknagar to the Dr B.R. Ambedkar statue at Phulong and held a candlelight vigil in memory of those killed in the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
