College Student Attempts Suicide, Seriously Injured

NALGONDA: A student of the Government Residential College for Women at Cherlapally in Nalgonda district attempted suicide on the college premises in the early hours of Friday, sustaining serious injuries.
The student, 19, was a third-year BSc student and a native of Jogigudem village in Chandur mandal of Nalgonda district.
According to police, CCTV footage showed that she remained in the corridor of the college for about half an hour before taking the extreme step. She suffered a severe head injury and multiple fractures. Alerted staff shifted her to a private hospital in an ambulance. Her condition was reported to be serious.
Police said a suicide note was found in her pocket in which she stated that no one was responsible for her act. Nalgonda Rural police have registered a case and are investigating.( Source : Deccan Chronicle )
