Adilabad: District collectors are gearing up for the Graduate MLC elections on February 27 in the Karimnagar constituency, covering the erstwhile districts of Adilabad, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, and Medak. In a training session held on February 15 , Collector Rajarshi announced the appointment of 220 presiding and assistant presiding officers and 9 zonal officers to ensure strict adherence to Election Commission guidelines.
He emphasised that the polling process for the graduates’ constituency differs from Assembly and Parliamentary elections, requiring additional time and patience. Polling will be conducted from 8 am to 4 pm, with token numbers issued to voters in queue lines.
Presiding officials and their staff are required to arrive at the distribution centres at 8 am on February 26 to inspect ballot boxes and verify materials, which will then be transported to their designated polling stations. Following the polling, ballot boxes will be submitted to the reception centre in Karimnagar.
