Collector Reviews R&R Issues of Kondapochammasagar, Mallannasagar Oustees
The collector inspected the R&R colony at Kondapochammasagar in Mulugu mandal and the Mallannasagar R&R colony at Mutrajpally in Gajwel town on Friday.
Siddipet:District collector K. Haimavathi assured oustees of the Kondapochammasagar and Mallannasagar projects that their long-pending rehabilitation and resettlement (R&R) issues would be examined on priority and resolved as per their eligibility.
The collector inspected the R&R colony at Kondapochammasagar in Mulugu mandal and the Mallannasagar R&R colony at Mutrajpally in Gajwel town on Friday.
She said issues relating to compensation, rehabilitation, R&R packages, house sites and other pending benefits had remained unresolved for a long time. She directed officials to review the cases and submit proposals to the government for necessary budgetary allocations.
Once funds were sanctioned, eligible oustees would be provided benefits as per rules, she said.
Haimavathi instructed officials of the departments concerned to coordinate and take steps to clear the pending issues. At the Kondapochammasagar R&R colony, she directed the Mulugu tahsildar to fix the full tank level (FTL) boundary and ensure that no plots were formed adjacent to it.
She also directed revenue officials to immediately take possession of land acquired for rehabilitation but left unallotted and undeveloped. The land should be monitored regularly to prevent encroachments and cultivation, she said.
Gajwel RDO V.V.S. Chandrakala, Siddipet RDO P. Sadanandam, tahsildars, local representatives and R&R colony officials were present.
