Collector Inspects Site for Pushkar Ghat at Yamcha
He also interacted with local public representatives and farmers and sought their views

NIZAMABAD: In-charge collector Bhavesh Mishra directed officials to make comprehensive and well-planned arrangements for the upcoming Godavari Pushkaralu.
As funds have been sanctioned for the construction of a Pushkar Ghat at Yamcha village in Navipet mandal, the Collector, along with officials from the concerned departments, conducted a field inspection on Tuesday to identify a suitable site for the project. He also interacted with local public representatives and farmers and sought their views.
The collector discussed various aspects with officials, including the most suitable location for the Pushkar Ghat on the outskirts of Yamcha village, availability of land, transportation facilities, other amenities and security arrangements for devotees.
He said all aspects identified during the field inspection would be compiled and submitted to the government, and construction of the Pushkar Ghat would be taken up only at the location approved by the government.
The collector instructed local revenue officials to conduct a detailed survey of the government land available in the inspected area and determine the extent of patta land, completing the marking exercise within a week.
Stating that the government intends to conduct the Godavari Pushkaralu on a grand scale similar to the Kumbh Mela, Mr. Mishra directed officials to make extensive arrangements. He emphasised that all necessary facilities should be provided to devotees and that the works must be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
As the famous Basara temple is located close to Yamcha village, a large number of devotees are expected to visit the area for the sacred Godavari Pushkar bath.
Officials from the Revenue, Irrigation, Endowments, Roads and Buildings, Panchayat Raj and other departments accompanied the Collector during the inspection.
