Cyberabad food safety teams issue improvement notice after identifying hygiene lapses despite the bakery scoring 82% in the hygiene assessment.

Hyderabad: Officials from the Cyberabad Commissionerate's Food Safety team inspected KS Bakers in Kukatpally as part of routine food safety inspections across the commissionerate and identified several hygiene deficiencies.
During the inspection, officials found inadequate segregation of vegetarian and non-vegetarian items in the freezer, cockroach infestation, rusted ovens, and untidy storage containers and kitchen tiles. Based on these observations, an improvement notice has been recommended and the management has been instructed to implement corrective measures.
The inspection also noted several good practices at the establishment, including food handlers wearing aprons and hairnets, regular food and water testing through external laboratories, proper labelling on cakes, adherence to the FIFO (First In, First Out) system, maintenance of medical fitness records, and the presence of a FOSTAC-trained supervisor.
The bakery secured 94 out of 116 marks (82%) in the hygiene assessment conducted by the food safety team.
