CMC Targets 51 Lakes for Hyacinth Removal; Major Progress Reported at Chakalivani & Mysamma Cheruvu

Hyderabad:The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) has proposed removal of water hyacinth at 51 lakes, with works underway at multiple locations, with phased implementation continuing in the remaining lakes.
According to CMC officials, 90 per cent of the weed had been removed in Chakalivani Cheruvu, while large areas in Mysamma Cheruvu (80 per cent), Rayasamudram Cheruvu and Neknampur Lake (70), Foxsagar (60 per cent) and half of Lingala Cheruvu had been cleared.
