CM Revanth To Inaugurate ‘Donald Trump Avenue’ Near US Consulate on June 23
Road near the US Consulate in Hyderabad to be named after former US President

Hyderabad: In a significant diplomatic and symbolic gesture, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will inaugurate the ‘Donald Trump Avenue’ near the US Consulate here on June 23. United States ambassador to India Sergio Gor is expected to be present for the event.
Revanth Reddy had proposed naming the street after the US President in December last to reinforcing Telangana’s practice of honouring global leaders and companies that have contributed to Hyderabad’s emergence as a global powerhouse for IT innovation. The inauguration will mark a historic and culturally significant occasion, with special festivities organised ahead of US Independence Day celebrations on July 4.
The move is expected to attract global attention as Hyderabad and the United States share strong business ties driving investments, jobs and mutual growth. The Telangana government took a decision to name more roads after tech giants like Google and Microsoft with an aim to position Telangana as a symbol of innovation-driven India.
Revanth Reddy had revealed plans in this regard while addressing the annual US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) conclave in Delhi last year. Following this, the government announced plans, ahead of Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025, to honour global tech corporations for their contribution to the emergence of Hyderabad as a leading global IT destination.
US businesses are increasingly recognising Hyderabad as a preferred destination for setting up Global Capability Centres (GCCs). The state government views this massive influx of GCCs as a significant strategic advantage for the years ahead. Several of these GCCs are already paving the way for deeper investment commitments, including the establishment of manufacturing facilities in the city.
Costco Wholesale, Eli Lilly, HCA Healthcare, McDonald’s and Nationwide are some of the Fortune 500 companies to have set up or announced technology centres or GCCs in Hyderabad in the last two years. Other prominent firms include Vanguard, US Bancorp, T-Mobile, LPL Financial, and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals.
Hyderabad has emerged as the preferred destination for new GCCs units in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector. According to the Nasscom GCC Landscape Report 2026, 50% of all new BFSI GCCs established in India in 2025, chose Hyderabad, driven by its deep financial services talent pool.
