CM Revanth Stranded In Lift For A Few Minutes

CM faces brief delay after lift overload

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was stranded in a lift for a few minutes at a star hotel in Shamshabad on Tuesday, when it got overloaded with people. According to Shamshabad ACP K. Srinivasa Rao, the incident occurred when the Chief Minister was at the Novotel Hotel to attend an event.

The lift had a capacity of eight persons. However, 13 people entered the elevator to accompany the Chief Minister.

The overload has triggered an alarm, causing brief panic. Police immediately alerted the hotel management. The Chief Minister was then shifted to another lift.

Clarifying rumours that the CM was stuck, the ACP said, “Chief Minister was not stuck. There was only an alarm raised after the lift went overweight. He was shifted to another lift within two to three minutes.”
