"The Congress government is committed to realising the dreams of students, farmers, women and marginalized communities," Revanth Reddy said

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy showcased Telangana’s progressive model of development, welfare and social justice at the Bharat Summit held at HICC on Saturday, saying that the Congress government’s policy was to generate more revenue and equitably distribute wealth among the poor.
“Women, farmers and youth are our main partners in our governance,” Revanth Reddy told delegates from over 100 countries in the presence of AICC leader Rahul Gandhi. He invited global delegates to join Telangana’s mission for change, share their expertise and become brand ambassadors of the Telangana Rising movement.
Highlighting the state’s focus on education, healthcare and employment, Revanth Reddy also outlined key infrastructure initiatives, including the construction of a 370-km Regional Ring Road, expansion of the Metro Rail, rejuvenation of the Musi River and the development of a world-class Future City over 30,000 acres. "We aim to transform Hyderabad into a true global city with these initiatives," he stated.
Reflecting on Telangana’s journey, Revanth Reddy paid homage to the people’s long struggle for statehood and their unfulfilled aspirations over the past decade. "The Congress government is committed to realising the dreams of students, farmers, women and marginalized communities," he said.
The CM detailed landmark welfare programmes, such as waiving of Rs 20,617 crore worth of farm loans for 25.5 lakh farmers, offering 24-hour free electricity to farmers and providing Rs 12,000 annual support to landless labourers and farmers under the Rythu Bharosa scheme. Telangana also pays a Rs 500 bonus per quintal for fine paddy and insurance benefits for farmers under Rythu Bima.
Youth empowerment was another focus area of the government, Revanth Reddy said, with initiatives like the Young India Skill University and the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam, aiming to benefit 5 lakh youth and fill 60,000 government jobs in the first year. On women’s entrepreneurship initiatives, Revanth Reddy shared ambitious plans to make one crore women millionaires through solar power projects, EV buses and self-help groups. Indiramma housing scheme, providing homes to 4.5 lakh families and free RTC bus travel for women are also major initiatives.
The state government has prioritised healthcare through free treatment up to Rs 10 lakh under Rajiv Arogyasri to create employment and the Musi river rejuvenation scheme to boost tourism, he said.
Revanth Reddy said the Telangana government was committed to transparency, reforms and inclusion. He announced the state government's policies for gig workers and historic steps like caste census and third-gender recruitment in the police force, to wide applause.
