CM Revanth Reddy Vows to Make Telangana a $3 Trillion Economy by 2047

Says Telangana Rising plan will boost economy, aid poor, and make state a global powerhouse

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday reiterated his resolve to make Telangana a powerhouse of development not just in the country but the world by 2047 taking the state’s economy to the $3 trillion mark and declared that the people “gave me a big responsibility making me the Chief Minister to serve for them.”

Revanth Reddy, speaking at a function where he released the book ‘Hasitha Bhaashpalu’ authored by Sri Ram, said the Telangana Rising-2047 was not just a vision but a practical plan to make the state economically strong, and transform the lives of the poor through development. The moves towards achieving this goal are already being made, he said, citing the examples of the Congress government’s initiatives for providing lakhs of houses for the poor, distribution of fine rice, ration cards to all eligible families, and increased allocations to the agriculture sector.

The Chief Minister made it clear that he is not one for taking revenge on others. On the Congress coming to power after defeating the BRS, he said, “I never take revenge on enemies. My victory itself is a cause of grief to the naysayers, and every signature of mine as the Chief Minister, is like a scar on their hearts.”

Revanth Reddy, taking note that Sri Ram hailed from Palamuru region, said Telangana has given birth to many poets, writers who inspired many with their works. “True agents of change never claim that is what they are doing. Those who made such claims made money while true leaders who inspired people such as Ande Sri, never made such claims,” he said.

The Chief Minister pointed out that when the state government decided to host the Miss World 2025 pageant in Telangana, many raised objections and even mocked the plan. “I brought participants and representatives from 109 countries to Telangana and made them sing Telangana official's song Jaya Jaya He Telangana written by Ande Sri. They are our cultural ambassadors now,” the Chief Minister said.

Earlier in the day, Revanth Reddy flew to Ranchi from where he went to Nemra, the ancestral village of Jharkhand’s former chief minister Shibu Soren to pay homage to Soren and attended his 11 day death ceremony. The Chief Minister paid tributes to the departed leader and expressed his condolences to the members of the bereaved family including Jharkhand’s current Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
