CM Revanth Submits SIR Form, Urges Public to Complete Process
Revanth Reddy urged people to remain alert about the SIR process and ensure that their names are included in the electoral rolls by completing the registration process.
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday participated in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Kodangal by submitting his SIR form.
The Chief Minister personally filled in the required details and handed over the form to the Booth Level Officers (BLOs).
Revanth Reddy urged people to remain alert about the SIR process and ensure that their names are included in the electoral rolls by completing the registration process.
Addressing the BLAs meeting, Revanth Reddy alleged that the BJP and the BRS were conspiring against him. He claimed that although the two parties are different, they share a common objective. The two opposition parties were hatching a conspiracy to undermine his political grip on Kodangal in a bid to weaken his stronghold at the state level.
Revanth Reddy alleged that some people were trying to manipulate the electoral rolls by attempting to remove the names of eligible voters. He said that 78 per cent of voters in Kodangal had completed the SIR process, while the remaining 22 per cent were yet to enrol. He urged the remaining voters to complete the process at the earliest.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said Booth Level Agents (BLAs) play a crucial role in verifying voter details and ensuring that all eligible voters are included in the electoral rolls.
He urged the BLAs to complete the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process efficiently and within the stipulated deadline of August 3. The Chief Minister appealed to them to ensure that every eligible voter is enrolled.
According to Revanth Reddy, 1,96,620 people have so far submitted SIR applications, while 54,635 people are yet to register. He said that registration is still pending for 22 percent of the electorate and cautioned BLAs against the alleged deletion of Congress supporters' names from the electoral rolls.
"The responsibility of ensuring that every eligible voter's name is included in the electoral rolls rests with all BLAs. Losing one's vote means losing one's identity," the Chief Minister said.
He also directed party workers to go door-to-door and ensure that voter verification forms are filled out and submitted within the deadline.
Revanth Reddy said that if eligible voters fail to enrol, it could have a significant impact on the Congress party's electoral prospects.
The Chief Minister also expressed confidence that women across the state would continue to support the Congress government.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy thanked the people of Kodangal for their unwavering support and blessings, which enabled him to become the Chief Minister of Telangana. He said that even after working 18 hours a day, he still finds the time insufficient to ensure the development of all 119 Assembly constituencies.
