CM Revanth Submits SIR Form, Urges Public to Complete Process
Revanth Reddy urged people to remain alert about the SIR process and ensure that their names are included in the electoral rolls by completing the registration process.
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday participated in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Kodangal by submitting his SIR form.
The Chief Minister personally filled in the required details and handed over the form to the Booth Level Officers (BLOs).
Revanth Reddy urged people to remain alert about the SIR process and ensure that their names are included in the electoral rolls by completing the registration process.
Addressing the BLAs meeting, Revanth Reddy alleged that the BJP and the BRS were conspiring against him. He claimed that although the two parties are different, they share a common objective. The two opposition parties were hatching a conspiracy to undermine his political grip on Kodangal in a bid to weaken his stronghold at the state level.
Revanth Reddy alleged that some people were trying to manipulate the electoral rolls by attempting to remove the names of eligible voters. He said that 78 per cent of voters in Kodangal had completed the SIR process, while the remaining 22 per cent were yet to enrol. He urged the remaining voters to complete the process at the earliest.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said Booth Level Agents play a crucial role in verifying voter details and ensuring that all eligible voters are included in the electoral rolls. He urged the BLOs to complete the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process efficiently and within the stipulated time. Since the deadline for the SIR is August 3, the CM appealed to BLAs to complete the enrollment of all voters. So far, 1,96,620 votes submitted SIR applications. 54,635 people have not yet registered. Registration is still pending for 22 percent of the total votes, CM Revanth Reddy cautioned the BLAs to deletion of Congress votes . The responsibility of registration of the names rests with all BLAs. Losing one's vote means losing one's identity, the Chief Minister said the party workers should also go door-to-door and ensure voter verification forms are filled out.
Revanth Reddy said that if eligible voters fail to enrol, it could have a significant impact on the Congress party's electoral prospects.
The Chief Minister also expressed confidence that women across the state would continue to support the Congress government.
CM Revanth Reddy thanked Kodangal people's unwavering support and blessings to lead the state as CM. Even working 18 hours a day, he finds the time insufficient to develop all 119 constituencies.
